Jacob G. Etter, age 101, of Zelienople, passed away Monday, June 7, 2010, at the VNA Hospice in Butler.
He was born in Pittsburgh on February 23, 1909, and was the son of the late Jacob Etter and Anna Geschwind Etter.
Mr. Etter was a member of St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church in Zelienople.
He worked at Aetna Standard Engineering in Ellwood City as a pattern maker.
Mr. Etter had been very active in delivering Meals on Wheels in the Zelienople area.
Mr. Jacob Etter is survived by a daughter; Bonnie (Raymond) Penland of Grove City, a son; Donald (Barbara) Etter of Zelienople, and three grandchildren; Jeffrey Ely of Grove City, Abigail (Nicholas) Mohrbacher of Rochester, and Grant Etter of Zelienople.
He was preceded in death by his wife 32 years ago, Helen M. Kniess Etter, two brothers and two sisters.
A blessing service will be held Saturday, June 12, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. from the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home Inc., 114 West Spring Street, Zelienople, PA 16063. Burial will take place in St. Peter's Reformed Cemetery of Zelienople.
