George Wearing, age 82, of Evans City passed away Sunday morning, Jan. 26, 2014, in VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
Born May 15, 1931, in Mars, he was the son of the late Charles and Ruth Davis Wearing.
George retired from MSA with over 40 years of service.
He was a life member of the North American Hunting Club. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and lawn mowers.
Above all he was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who would have given anything to family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kandus J. Trosky; a infant son, 2 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lila J. Kline Wearing, who he married August 19, 1950, one daughter, Marcia Wearing of Harmony, two sons, C. Michael (Earla) Wearing and Ronald (Valerie) Wearing both of Evans City, a "adopted" daughter, Lisa Roberts of Harmony, one sister, Ruth Buttermore of Beaver, one brother, Robert (Tootsie) Wearing of Callery, 4 grandchildren, Chad (Julie) Wearing, Eric (Sarah) Wearing, Corey Wearing and his fiancee Carrie, and Wendy (Dan) Paulovich, and 6 great grandchildren.
The family of George will welcome friends on Sat. Feb 1, 2014, at the Kinsey-Volz F.H., 328 West Main St., Evans City, PA 16033, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., A Memorial service to honor George's life will follow.
