Dorothy M. Covert Lawler, age 81, of Evans City passed away Sunday morning, June 8, 2014 in St Johns Specialty Care Center, Mars.
Born June 16, 1932 in Chicora, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Emma O. Hutchens Covert.
Dorothy was of the Presbyterian Faith.
She retired from Lutheran Youth and Family Services, Zelienople in 1996 as the Dietary Manager. After retirement she worked as a greeter for Walmart in
Butler until 2007.
Dorothy enjoyed Crossword Puzzles and playing Bingo.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers and her former husband, Richard L. Lawler June 6, 2011.
She is survived by one son, Michael L. Lawler of Evans City; one brother, Thomas A. (Helen) Covert of Chicora; nieces and nephews and her cat, Chester.
Friends of Dorothy M. Covert Lawler of Evans City, who died Sunday June 8, 2014 will be received on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St., Evans City from 2-4 & 7-8:30 P.M.
Services will follow at 8:30 P.M. with Rev. John Hoogerbrugge chaplain at St. Johns Speciality Care Center.
Burial will be in the Evans City Cemetery.
