Born Ellwood City August 23, 1932, he was the son of the late William R. and Sarah Wehman Weisz.
Carl was a member of Camp Run Presbyterian Church, Fombell. He was well known for the preparation of the Buckwheat Cake since 1956.
He proudly served his country during The Korean War. He handled communications in the South Pacific during the testing of the H Bombs called Operation Castle.
He was a member of A.A.R.P.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife Mary A. West Weisz June 6, 2012; three sisters, Frances "Fritz" Marshall, Gladys Daubenspeck, and Betty Heitzenrater; two brothers, Donald and Charles Weisz; a son-in-law, Mark Ferrante; and a great grandson, Gavin Myers.
Carl is survived by one daughter, Diana "Dee" Ferrante of New Castle; four sons, Dale (Beth) Weisz and Joseph (Jenny) Weisz both of Ellwood City, William (Nancy) Weisz of Fombell and Charles (Karyn) Weisz of New Castle; two sisters, Lilabelle Pander of OK. and Joyce (Frank) Bauder of Portersville; 11 Grandchildren, Richard (Shannon) Myers, Dale (Katie) Weisz Jr., Joshua (Morgan) Weisz, and Christopher Weisz all of Ellwood City, Chad (Christine) Myers of GA., William Weisz Jr and Joyce Weisz both of Fombell, Ann Weisz and Charles "Sam" Weisz, Deeanne Ferrante and Alicyn Ferrante all of New Castle; five great grandchildren, Madison and James Myers, Sofia, Garrett, and Anderson Weisz.
Friends of Carl E. Weisz, who died June 21, 2014 will be received Wednesday June25, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople, PA. Funeral services will be on Thursday June 26, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. Camp Run Presbyterian Church, 489 Church Rd., Harmony, PA 16037.
