Von O. Knepper age 81, of Zelienople passed away Thursday morning Nov, 20, 2014, in Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony.
Born Mineral Point, Cambria Co., he was the son of the late Frank R. and Ivella D. Grove Knepper.
Von was a member of the First Baptist Church, Evans City.
He retired from Halstead-Mitchell Metals, Zelienople.
He was a former member of Harmony Lodge 429 F&AM.
Von proudly served his country during The Korean War in the U. S. Navy as a fireman.
He and his wife enjoyed traveling.
Von is survived by his wife, Freda E. "Betty" Sand Knepper whom he married June 29, 1954; one daughter, Karen Parker of Zelienople; one brother, Arlo A. (Beverly) Knepper of OH; four sisters, Donna (Harold) Smith of GA., Lola Parshal of OH., Audrey (Ted) Matley of NY and Cherie (Paul) Swartz of Mass.; one grandson, Michael (Derrilyn) Parker of Ambridge.
Friends of Von E. Knepper, who died November 20, 2014 will be received Sunday, November 23,2014 from 1-3 & 6-8 P.M. at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople, PA. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday from the funeral home.
