David A. Beatty , age 76, of Rochester passed away Friday afternoon October 30, 2015 with his loving family by his side, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.
Born April 30, 1939 in Bellevue, he was the son of the late Donald K. and Jean L. Soisson Beatty.
He had attended St. Killian Catholic Church, Mars. David had retired from Gulf Oil Corp. now Chevron.
David enjoyed Dance Roller Skating with his wife. He loved hunting, fishing, boating and scuba diving. David also had belonged to the Friday Men's Bowling League in Mars. He was best known as the founder of the Beatty Hug.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Beatty.
Survived by his wife, Barbara A. Erb Beatty, who he married December 10, 1982; three daughters, Michelle (Bob) Grochalski, Sue (Greg) Lozovoy, Harmony, Christine (Larry) Trimble, Zelienople; one son, David A. (Morgan) Beatty Jr., San Tan Valley, AZ; one sister, Susan (Doug) Mone, Mesa, AZ; three brothers, William (Joan) Beatty, Wexford, Richard (Dorothy) Beatty, Charlotte, NC, Donald (Arlene) Beatty, Henderson, NV; also 10 Grandchildren.
Friends of David A. Beatty are welcome to attend a gathering to honor his memory on Tuesday November 3, 2015 from 3 :00 till 4:00 P.M. at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople, PA. A Mass will be celebrated at 4:30 P.M. at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 West Beaver St., Zelienople, PA with Rev. Father Michael Roche as Celebrant.
The family has suggested memorial donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 810 River Ave., Suite 100, Pittsburgh, PA 15212
