Jessica “Jessie” M. Young Bieber, age 82 of Evans City passed away suddenly Thursday morning, March 16, 2017 at her residence.
Born in Oxford, England, September 19, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Albert J and Lydia B. Pendle Young.
Jessie was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Evans City.
She and her husband Julian operated the Bieber Greenhouse, Evans City for 50 years. She had also worked at the Evans City Library.
She was also a homemaker who was known for her kindness and generosity. She had a curious fascination with medicine and constantly gave free advise after consulting her medical books.
She was an avid reader, and commonly would be reading one to three books. She also enjoyed painting and crossword puzzles. One of her enjoyments was attending her class reunions each month.
Family was the most important thing to her. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian J. Bieber; one son, Robert; three sisters, Kit, Jean, and Vera; one brother Joe.
Jessie was beloved Mum to Peggy Bieber of Harmony, Diana “Dee” Rodgers (Leo Jones) and Kathy (Tom) Wearing of Evans City, Linda (Martin) Defeo of Mt Lebanon; J. Dan (Heidi) Bieber of Slippery Rock; Sister to Mrs. Margaret (Walter) Herr of Indiana and Elizabeth “Lil” Green of Evans City, Robert and Kenneth (Joyce ) Young both of Evans City; Grandma to Shane Fiel, Jason(Jenn) Bieber, Christine Eakin, Jake (Tina) Barto, Shannon (Zach) Rodgers, Stephanie (Jason) Wilfong, Amy (Chris) McLallen, Haley and Max Defeo; great grandma to Caiden and Remi Barto, Blake Wilfong, Adalynn McLallen, Dominic, Autumn, Spencer and Julian Bieber, Casey and Chase Eakin; and her dog, Brooke.
Friends and relatives of Jessica M. Bieber who passed away March 16, 2017 will be received at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St., Evans City, PA. on Sunday from 2-4 P.M. A Private service will be Monday at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
