Howard F. "Bud" Struble Jr.

Died: 11/29/2018

Howard F. “Bud” or “Jr.” Struble Jr. age 95 of Evans City, Pa passed away Thursday afternoon while under the care of the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.

Born November 21, 1923 in Wilkinsburg, he was the son of the late Howard F. and Grace H. Sponagle Struble.

He lived the bulk of his youth in Herminie, Westmoreland Co.

Bud was a member of West Deer Bible Church, Gibsonia.

He was a graduate of Sewickley Township High School, Herminie and a 1949 graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in Poultry Husbandry.

He worked with chickens all his life having owned farms in Slippery Rock and Saxonburg and then working for Schar Poultry Farm in Evans City and Park Products in Valencia.

Bud was a S.Sgt. in WWII serving in the 15th Army Air Force in Foggia, Italy.

He loved watching the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Pittsburgh Steelers on TV., birthday parties, picnics,taking hikes in the woods, going for ice cream, dogs, and vegetable gardening.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Marjorie E. Chatburn Struble February 27, 1963, an infant son, Baby Boy Struble to his first wife, and two sisters, Miriam Gilson and Norma Jean Booth.

Bud is survived by his wife Yvonne “Dolly” Long Struble who he married April 10, 1966, his five children, Gloria A. Fawcett of Templeton, Joan L. (Thomas) Hice of Sarver, Alanna (Sam) Warren of Cranberry Twp. Glenn H. Struble of Evans City, and Katy (Shane) Walters of Glenshaw; one sister, Patricia Struble of Gibsonia; nine grandchildren, Sarah Struble of Rochester, Justin Fawcett of Sarver, Sherri Fawcett of Carnegie, Melanie (Chris) Coyle of Butler, Kristen (Brian) Schlauderaff of Harrisburg, Kayla and Tyler Warren both of Cranberry Twp. and Alexia and Eli Walters both of Glenshaw; ten great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Also his beloved and faithful dog, Rusty.

Friends and relatives of Howard F. Struble will be received on Monday December 3, 2018 from 1-3 and 6-8 P.M. at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St., Evans City, PA Additional visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Funeral Services will follow at 11: 00 A.M. at the funeral home.
