Walter C. "Dutch" Kaltenbach Jr.

Died: 7/28/2023

Walter C. “Dutch” Kaltenbach Jr., age 94 of Evans City passed away on Friday afternoon at his residence after an illness.

Born June 22, 1929 in Renfrew he was the son of the late Walter C. and D. Pearl Hughes Kaltenbach.

Dutch was a member of St. Johns Reformed Church, Meridian.

He worked as a truck driver for Motor Express, retiring in 1988. He continued working as a bus driver for A.J. Meyers Bus Co. until 2009. He also worked for Jack Morgan auctioneer.

Dutch served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of the Butler-Victory Lodge #272 F. & A. M. for 65 years. Dutch was also a member of the Syria Shrine.

Dutch was a member of the Teamsters Union.

He was a great train enthusiast.

Survived by his wife, Virginia Bond Kaltenbach, one daughter, Kimberly S. Thompson of Evans City, one grandson, Kaleb L. Thompson of Evans City, two sisters, Beryl J. Wehr of Evans City and M. Virginia Street of NC, one brother, Ron Kaltenbach of Renfrew, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends of Walter “Dutch” Kaltenbach who passed away on Friday afternoon, will be received at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St., Evans City, Pa on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday from the funeral Home with Pastor Jarrod Crawford his Pastor officiating.

Burial will be in the Evans City Cemetery.

Butler-Victory Lodge #272 will hold Masonic Services on Wednesday at 6:45 P.M. at the funeral home.
