Dominic Madaffari

Died: 12/23/2023

Dominic Madaffari, age 87, of Harmony passed away peacefully on Saturday December 23, 2023, at The Grove of Harmony.

Born April 26, 1936, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Peter G. and Natalie Pellegrini Madaffari.

He was of the Catholic Faith and had attended St. Matthias Church in Evans City.

He worked 26 1/2 years at Krogers as head meat cutter, Viola Grocery stores as Vice President, and finished his work career with Ad Post as an ad designer.

He had an avid love for building and repairing his homes. Loved his land and had horses, pigs and dogs through the years. Enjoyed sharing that land and having big family picnics whenever possible. His favorite time of year was Christmas. Decorating the house with Christmas lights and having all his kids and grandkids be together. In his retirement years he loved living on the lake and being out on his boat. He also loved fishing with his friend Walt and his grandkids.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Susan M. Brock Madaffari; five children Dominic "Nick" (Patricia) Madaffari of Evans City, Laura (Paul-deceased) Stillitano of Greensburg Jeffrey Madaffari of FL., Steven (Jill) Madaffari of Harmony and Carrie Madaffari of SC.; seven grandchildren, Jason (Gina) Carlin, Tami Carlin, John (Sarah) Porter Jr., Jenna (Matthew) Barbish, Julia Santiago, Zachery Madaffari and Morgan Madaffari; four great grandchildren Michael (Whitney) Carlin, Amber Carlin, Amelia Santiago, Thomas Santiago, Santino Barbish and Natalia Barbish; one great great grandchild Keely Carlin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings John Madaffari, Louise Cramer, Bernadine Leisure, Joe Metzler, and son-in-law, Paul Stillitano.

Friends and relatives of Dominic Madaffari, who passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023, will be received at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W. Main Street, Evans City on Friday December 29, 2023, from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. and on Saturday from 10-11A.M. A Blessing service with Sister Patricia Myers will follow at 11:00 AM. from the funeral home.
