William Donald Malick, age 80, of Connoquenessing, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, surrounded by his family at Seasons of Saxonburg.
Born August 25, 1944, in Butler, he was the son of the late Donald and Mary (Miller) Malick.
Bill was a life member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Evans City.
Upon graduation from Knoch High School, Saxonburg in 1962, he enlisted in the United States Navy, honorably serving 25 years, retiring as an E7 Chief Petty Officer in 1990.
He was a member of the TYRIAN-COMMONWEALTH LODGE 362, F. & A.M., and the SCOTTISH RITE.
Bill enjoyed trains of all sorts. His passion for trains led him around the country to ride different trains, see train museums, and create many model train sets. He made many friends throughout the course of this hobby and instilled this passion in his grandsons. Bill enjoyed spending time with his wife and traveled with her frequently. Bill also experienced much of the world with his travels in the U.S. Navy. However, Bill most cherished his family and his three grandsons.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Claudette Boyer who he married on September 30, 1966, and passed away on August 24, 2018, two brothers, Robert Malick and James Malick and one grandson, Connor Malick.
Bill is survived by one daughter, Eleanor M. Camus of Butler one son, Robert W. (Karen) Malick of Erie, two grandsons, Anthony Camus and Nathan Malick, and one sister-in-law, Barb Malick of OH, and the many children and grandchildren he “adopted” over the years.
A Graveside Service for William D. Malick will be held at the Evans City Cemetery on May 12, 2025, at noon with full Military Honors.
