Bernard “Bernie” J. MacGregor, age 73, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, October 26, 2025.
Born in Pittsburgh on March 9, 1952, he was the son of the late Margaret Pugh.
Bernie graduated from Sto-Rox High School in 1970 and later attended the Machine Shop Technology Institute. Over the years, he worked for U.S. Steel, Recon, and most recently at Point Spring & Drive Shaft. Bernie took great pride in his work and was known for his dedication and drive—his goal was always to outproduce everyone around him.
He enjoyed gambling and loved spending time at the beach, especially in the Caribbean. It was his wish to have his ashes spread in Aruba, and his family will honor that request.
Bernie is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Larry) Osche. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Austin Grupp. His daughter and grandson were his greatest pride and joy.
A Celebration of His Life will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the A. Carl Kinsey–Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St., Evans City, PA. A service will follow at 5:00 p.m.
