Arthur E. Smith, age 92, of Renfrew, passed away Friday afternoon May 13, 2011 at his residence. Born October 22, 1918, in Renfrew. He was the son of the late Harrison B. and Edna M. Young Smith. He was member of United Methodist Church, Connoquenessing, which he helped build.
Mr Smith was a retired self employed carpenter. He enjoyed traveling to Canada where he wrote many Religious Pamphlets. He was veteran of the United States Navy serving during WWII.
He is survived by one son, Gary Smith, of Renfrew; one brother Robert Smith of Renfrew; two grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna C. Kellerman Smith February 7, 1987.
Relatives and friends of Arthur E. Smith, who died on Firday May 13, 2011, will be received at the A. Carl Kinsy-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home Inc., 328 West Main Street, Evans City, PA 16033, from 6-8 PM on Monday May 16, 2011. Funeral Services will follow at 8:00 PM from the Funeral Home. Burial will be on Tuesday May 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Butler County Memorial Park.
